MORTON recovered from 2-0 down to nick a draw against League One side Queen’s Park in the Betfred Cup last night — before stealing a bonus point against the Spiders with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory.
Bryan Wharton and Thomas Orr were convinced they had handed their side a surprise win over Championship opposition in Ton.
But new boys Bob McHugh and Darren Barr completed a dramatic fightback with two late goals to seal the 2-2 draw before Gary Harkins secured the bonus point in the penalty shoot-out.
