GARY Oliver looks set to miss Morton’s trip to Motherwell today with a virus.
Oliver wasn’t well enough to even make the bench during Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Queen’s Park at Cappielow in the Betfred Cup, and looks doubtful again for the visit to the home of the Steelmen.
The 21-year-old striker hasn’t trained this week and has been ‘floored’ by the mystery bug.
He told the Tele: “After the game last Saturday I was fine but on Sunday I couldn’t sleep and kept waking up sweating and I think I’ve got tonsillitis and swollen glans.
“I’ve been to the hospital a few times and they’ve given me antibiotics so hopefully that’ll continue to make me feel better.
“It’s a bad time to get a virus obviously. The way I’m feeling now, I don’t think I’ll be ready for Saturday, it’s doubtful.”
