MORTON boss Jim Duffy hopes skipper Lee Kilday is over the worst of his injury problems as the defender continues his recovery from an ankle issue.
Kilday has been sidelined for a number of months after the recurrence of an injury from last season.
The Ton captain has since told the Tele that he has started running drills again for the first time in six weeks, and Duffy believes he is finally on the road to recovery.
He said: “Lee has had a few setbacks. The operation he had in the summer didn’t fully clear it up and he’s had various tests on it and steroid injections.
“It’s been a very frustrating period for him.
“But he’s running now, his fitness levels are improving all the time and I’d like to think he’ll be able to be involved in the next two weeks or so.
“I hope he’s over the worst of it now.”
