MORTON boss Jim Duffy is delighted that his squad are close to full strength again following the return of key men Michael Tidser and Jai Quitongo.

Skipper Lee Kilday and Connor McManus remain sidelined, but Duffy was happy to see Tidser and Quitongo play more than 15 minutes against Brechin City last Saturday after lengthy lay-offs.

Quitongo even managed a goal on his return and Duffy says that even though he won’t be putting any pressure on the pair, he’s over the moon to have them back.

He said: “I try not to put too much significance on individual players because every player is important to a manager if you want to be competitive.

“But of course having your players back fit is always good because it gives you the options of having good players available, either from the start or as an impact player.

"I'm delighted that we've got a healthier squad at the moment with decent competitions for places in most areas.

"It's now just about getting the balance right and selection right for the United game."
