KYLE Thomson has agreed a six-month deal with Morton in principle subject to international clearance.
The American midfielder has been training with the Ton during pre-season this summer, after also training with the club last year for a week.
The Chicago native, whose dad hails from Scotland, has dual citizenship with the USA and the UK.
He played in a number of the Cappielow side’s pre-season friendlies, getting the most minutes in their 2-1 win over Motherwell and goalless draw with Forfar Athletic.
The American plays mainly in the middle of the park as either a central or defensive midfielder.
He studied at Loyola University on a football scholarship, and is keen to hit the ground running with the Ton.
