MORTON threw away a two-goal lead as Queen of the South came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Cappielow on Saturday.
The Ton were lucky to be level heading in at the break, thanks to a double wonder save from Ryan Scully.
Michael Tidser opened the scoring after the restart, with Ross MacLean adding a second on 63 minutes for the hosts.
But Queens reduced the deficit six minutes later when Semple sidefooted home in the box, before Josh Todd fired the visitors level with 14 minutes to go.
