It was Rory Kelham"s turn to shine for Inverclyde at the Scottish Indoor Age Group Championships as he won bronze in the under-15 boys" 1,500 metres.
Comfortably winning his heat in the morning Rory, with a determined attitude, set the early pace in his late afternoon final.
He was quickly part of the leading group of three which moved clear ahead of the rest.
A stumble going into the bottom bend in the penultimate lap saw Rory adrift of the other two.
However, he quickly recovered and was just pipped for silver on the line. This effort gave Rory an improvement of over five seconds on his personal best for the event and fourth place in the national rankings.
Sprinters Sarah Glenny and Michael Mulholland had to contend with large numbers in their events with subsequent hard qualifying conditions.
Third place for Michael in his 200m heat, just slightly slower than his time in the recent West Districts, was unfortunately not enough to go through to the next round.
