QUICK SILVER: Sarah Glenny shows the form which took her to a silver at the Kelvin Hall at the weekend.
GOUROCK High School pupil Sarah Glenny battled illness to strike silver at the Scottish Schools Athletic Association's 2010 Indoor Championships held at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, on Saturday.
Sarah returned to competition after recent illness and managed to achieve a personal best time of 43.1 seconds in the under-16 girls' 300 metres.
This was a closely fought race and, but for a stumble while attempting to overtake on the final bend of the steeply banked track, Sarah looked to be on her way to a repeat of the gold medal she won in last year's event.
In the overall circumstances it was an excellent performance.
This Saturday she returns to the Kelvin Hall to represent Kilbarchan AAC in the National 4 X 200 metres Indoor Junior Relay Championship.
