Gourock sprinter Sarah Glenny was crowned the 2009 Glasgow Indoor under-17 200 metre champion at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, last weekend.
The award came as a surprise to her and was in recognition of her splendid performances at the venue during November and December when she won all three events in which she participated.
And Sarah continued her recent excellent form by anchoring her Kilbarchan AAC under-17, 4 x 200 metre relay team to fourth place at the Scottish Junior Indoor Relay Championships.
At the younger end of the under-17 age group, the team smashed the Kilbarchan club record in the heats and again in the finals where they missed out on bronze medal by 500ths of a second.
Sarah has another year of competing at under-17 level.
She would like to thank Paul Kelly of Renfrewshire Physiotherapy for support and treatment.
