CHAMPION: Craig Ruddy won last year's senior race.
Inverclyde Athletic Club hosts the Renfrewshire AAA Road Race Championships at the Battery Park, Greenock this Sunday.
The changing and declarations will take place within the Battery Pavilion, with the first race of the day being the under-11 boys race over a mile starting at noon followed by the under-11 girls over the same distance at 12.05.
These under-11 races will also incorporate a schools competition.
The senior/junior men's and women's five mile race is the final event of the day, with the men and women starting together at 1.30pm. This race also incorporates an open event.
The café at the Battery will be open and the club will be organising their usual raffle.
Any member who could donate a prize for the raffle would be much appreciated.
Also any member not running who could help with the stewarding would also be much appreciated.
Last year's senior men's winner was Inverclyde AC's Craig Ruddy.
All the athletes will be looking for a confidence boosting run before the national cross country championships at Falkirk on Saturday 18 February.
Inverclyde MP Iain McKenzie, a keen runner himself, will present the much-coveted Renfrewshire medals at the event.
Finally, members going to the Masters National cross country championships at Kilmarnock on Saturday should meet in the clubhouse at 11.30am.
