Nynke sets victory pace in under-20s
WEMYSS Bay runner Nynke Mulholland produced an excellent run to take first place in the under-20s event at the Renfrewshire AAA Championships.
Over a five-mile course and in a combined race for seniors and under-20s, she went off fast and kept a strong pace with the front runners.
With just over three miles gone, the 19-year-old started to pull clear from some of the senior group and came home in a well-deserved first and also an excellent third place overall in the senior women's event.
Nynke, along with her Kilbarchan AAC team-mates gained overall victory and gold for her senior women's team.
Nynke, right, has now won this event at every age group including under-13s, under-15s, under-17s and now three times at under-20s.
Nynke thanks Serteam Design Services Ltd, Renfrewshire Physiotherapy, and B Positive (Auto Electrics) for sponsorship and to Sport Inverclyde for their support.
