Meanwhile, Inverclyde are holding a junior cricket fun day at Lady Octavia Sports Centre this Sunday 6 April from 10 to 11.30am where primary and junior secondary pupils are encouraged to attend the free event to learn more about the game of cricket from Inverclyde’s coaches and senior players. The final senior practice session takes place the following Sunday 13 April, again at 10am at Lady Octavia Sports Centre. Captain Dave Cooke has been encouraged by the good turnout at these sessions and is looking forward to the season starting on 26 April with an away cup fixture against Bute.
