TELEGRAPH readers have the chance to vote for their Morton Player of the Year, an award resurrected after several years.

The trophy was originally donated to Morton by Sir William Lithgow for presentation to the club"s Player of the Year as voted for by readers of the Greenock Telegraph, but the award lapsed during the tenure of the previous owner of the club.

Now, you, the readers can vote again for the man you think has been Morton"s top player this season.

Everyone will have their own choice, though goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert and defenders Dominic Shimmin and skipper Stewart Greacen will be among the favourites.

Others with a chance could be Allan Jenkins, Alex Walker, Peter Weatherson and Brian Wake.

The presentation of the trophy will be made to the winner at the last game of the season at home to Ross County.

Fans are asked to send in their votes to: Sports Desk, Greenock Telegraph, 2 Crawfurd Street, PA151LH to reach us no later than 4 May.
