MORTON have landed a tricky opening match for the new season away to Dundee.
Davie Irons" troops will travel to Dens Park on August 8 to take on a side who will be considered as one of the main title contenders for season 2009/2010.
The following week Ton host Dunfermline in another tough fixture and the Cappielow outfit will be hoping to record three home points at the first time of asking.
Morton"s first taste of what new boys Ayr Utd have to offer will be at Somerset Park on August 22, where the Honest Men had an impressive record last term.
The seasiders will start the season as favourites for the drop but Ton will have to be on their toes.
August finishes with a short trip to Maryhill to take on last year"s title runners-up Partick Thistle.
And on the last day of the league season Morton will entertain Ayr Utd at Cappielow looking to finish the campaign with a flourish
