POINTING THE WAY: Stewart Greacen.

STEWART Greacen has revealed he has no intentions of altering his aggressive playing style - because it's just what Morton will need ahead of some crucial fixtures.

The robust defender has already been booked four times this season but returns from suspension in time to face Partick Thistle today.

And Greacen is adamant he is more than up for the fight as James Grady's men attempt to pull themselves away from the bottom of the table.

He said: "That's my style, I'm going to pick up bookings. It's going to take everybody to pull their sleeves up to get us out of where we are.

"It is going to take that as we have a lot of big games coming up so we have to dig in and get results."

Having now served his suspension, Greacen is itching to get back into action, starting at Cappielow this afternoon.

He said: "It's never nice missing games, especially at this stage of the season. I'm looking forward to getting back into the side."

Recent results have meant Morton could be scrapping for survival until the end of the season but Greacen says confidence is high.

And he thinks the experience garnered from previous campaigns will put his side in a good position for the weeks ahead.

He said: "Everyone is still confident. We believe in ourselves and there is still plenty of time to turn it around.

"We are hoping it doesn't go as close as it has done, but there are still 11 games to go.

"We know that if we can put a wee run together just now then hopefully it won't go into the last few weeks."

The visit of Partick today is one of seven home games which Morton have left, and Greacen knows the schedule gives them a good chance of survival.

He said: "Certainly these are games which we need to be looking to take maximum points from as they are going to be key games.

"Everybody in our squad is going to be needed because we have a lot of games coming up."
