MORTON have invited a Nigerian trialist to join them on their pre-season trip to the north of England next week.
The towering centre-forward impressed during a bounce game against a Nigerian select at Battery Park last night.
Ton ran out 4-2 victors with a Michael Tidser wonder goal proving the highlight.
Earlier in the day, a Ton team composed of a different combination of trialists and first-team players overcame Hamilton 1-0 with a goal by Stewart Kean, right.
Ton currently have nine trialists, including Jamie McCluskey, Alan Lithgow, Grant Smith, John Kane, Tony McParland, Jonathan Crawford, Nicky Clark and two unnamed French players.
The squad is likely to be whittled down to 22 for the trip south of the border next week.
Ton will face Blyth Spartans next Tuesday and Gateshead on Thursday during their travels before returning to take on Bristol Rovers at Cappielow on the Saturday.
