COMEBACK: Peter Weatherson.

PETER Weatherson is set for a cameo appearance against Gateshead tonight as he continues his comeback from injury.

The Ton striker was suffering from a pelvic injury which required rest over the summer, but has managed to maintain his fitness levels during pre-season and is on course for a comeback tonight.

Ton boss Allan Moore confirmed: "Peter is champing at the bit. We spent a lot of time in the pool with him yesterday.

"Mark McNally has been giving him plenty of extra work and there have been no complaints. A fit Peter Weatherson will be an important player for us next season."

Moore also confirmed Brian Graham has shin splints and will play no part tonight. Stewart Kean, Kevin Kelbie, Tariq Benjelloun and a Nigerian trialist are the other striking options.
