ALLAN Moore has lauded his side’s impressive defensive form - but lamented their continued inability to add potency to a staunch rearguard.
The Morton manager watched as his side resisted league leaders Raith Rovers at the weekend, only to succumb to a late effort from Gregory Tade.
But Moore has refused to criticise his defenders and instead reiterated the need for his forwards to start showing some form in front of goal.
He said: “It’s frustrating the fact our strikers aren’t scoring on league business, and that’s the most glaring thing we can see at the moment.
“I think if we go 1-0 up against a team then we’ll more than likely go on to win the game because we defend well, but we’ve got to get that 1-0 to give us the confidence.
“We did that against Partick Thistle and you could see the difference in the team when that happened.”
