Stuart: I'll get Peaso to sign up
STUART McCaffrey says he is doing all he can to convince travel buddy Peter MacDonald to sign on at Cappielow.
The unattached striker, who left St Johnstone at the end of the season, is currently training with Morton but is yet to decide on where he will play his football next season.
And McCaffrey, pictured, revealed he would be delighted to link up with his former McDiarmid Park team-mate again in Greenock.
He told the Tele: "I played with Peaso at St Johnstone for a few years and I think he'd be a very good signing.
"I really rate him as a player and believe he'd score goals for us. He'd also be good in the dressing room, as he has a bubbly personality.
"Paul Di Giacomo and I have been travelling into training with him since we started back, and we've both been trying to convince him to sign every day in the car.
"But to be fair, I'm not sure he needs too much convincing as I think he realises it would be a good club for him. It might just be that finances dictate the situation.
"The manager will probably have a few more chats with him to see where he stands and we'll find out sometime this week."
