Colin fit for Well friendly
COLIN Stewart is ready to face Motherwell tonight after recovering from a slight knock picked up in a bounce match last Thursday.
The Ton keeper had to be replaced by an Airdrie back-up keeper late in last week's closed-doors encounter with the Diamonds.
But Stewart says he is feeling fine and admits he can't wait to take to the field and test himself against SPL opposition.
He said: "I felt a slight weakness in my hip near the end against Airdrie and came off as a bit of a precautionary measure.
"I thought there was no point staying on and risking missing two or three days of training for the sake of 30 minutes of a bounce match, especially with it being played on astroturf.
"But I'm absolutely fine for tonight and should be fit and available to play barring any last-minute problems.
"I'm very much looking forward to the game. I like to play against different opposition and it's always good to face SPL strikers to test yourself.
"There's no doubting it will be tough, as they are up to speed and will be fired up.
"But it's really a friendly for fitness, which I'm sure will blow the cobwebs away."
