Sean: I'll be taking the strain
SEAN Fitzharris is hopeful he will be back in action earlier than first anticipated after undergoing an innovative course of treatment to address a hamstring strain.
The wide man recently consulted a specialist regarding the injury which saw him substituted 25 minutes into a bounce game with Hibs, and was informed he could face between two and five weeks on the sidelines.
But Fitzharris is hopeful the course of injections he was recommended to help boost the recovery process will see him return to action sooner rather than later.
He told the Tele: "I saw the specialist last Friday and he told me the injury is a grade-one hamstring pull.
"That's good news in a way because it means it's not related to the hamstring tear I suffered at the end of last season.
"The specialist was highly recommended to me by Peter MacDonald and Ross Forsyth as one of the top guys in his field in Scotland.
"He studied the techniques of the world-renowned Bayern Munich doctor Hans Muller, who has treated lots of the top sportsmen in the world.
"He's put me on a course of four injections which contain special enzymes to help speed up the healing process.
"Depending on how I react, I could be out for a minimum of two weeks or at most four to five weeks."
