Moore: We've got the firepower
ALLAN Moore believes Morton's chances of success in the Renfrewshire Cup final could hinge upon his strikers finding their scoring touch this afternoon.
The Ton boss is delighted with his attacking options for next season - and insists all four of his frontmen have the ability to pose a potent threat to the St Mirren defence today.
He said: "The strikers could definitely be a key to victory today, there's no doubt about it.
"We think we'll get more goals out of our forwards this year. Peter MacDonald and Andy Jackson have good experience up there, and the good thing about them is they come as a pair.
"They know how to play with each other because they did it for so long at St Johnstone.
"They don't give defenders a minute and cause them problems with their movement.
"But it's not just Jacko and Peaso - in the second half against Walsall Archie Campbell and Peter Weatherson combined well and showed they also provide a real attacking threat.
"Peter just clipped a couple of balls over the top and wee Archie was right on top of the keeper twice.
"He was just a wee bit unlucky not to get the right touch on the ball that would've got him a goal.
"Now we know if we can draw teams up the pitch a wee bit, we can dink one over the top for him and he'll be away like lightning. And Archie will score goals because he's a decent finisher."
