Moore impressed by trialists

MANAGER Allan Moore was impressed by the performances of trialists Jorge Larena and Tuomas Rannankari - after they featured in a 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock yesterday.

The Morton boss had arranged the bounce match with the SPL club in order to get a look at the European pair, as well as to give further game time to the likes of Michael Tidser and Fouad Bachirou.

The scorers for Ton were Paul Di Giacomo and Andy Graham leaving Moore thoroughly content with the outing.

Moore said: "It was a good workout. The two trialists did very well for us, although the conditions weren't the best - especially for the Spanish boy as he likes to pass the ball.

"But he did well as did the young Finnish lad, he got up and down the pitch very well and looked good on the ball.

"There is nothing concrete and it has gone no further than this, but they will stay with us and we will continue to have a look at them.

"It was also a good game for Michael and Fouad, while Archie Campbell got a full 90 minutes and Sean Fitzharris got about 30 to 40 minutes as well."

if they are good enough get them signed, the team and the fans need a lift and two decent players would certainly do that. no doubt some other club will sign them and we will lose out again.
