MORTON have announced that winger Sean Fitzharris has left the club.

The 20-year-old has been plagued by injury throughout his time at Cappielow, which had started in promising fashion.

Morton said this afternoon that the player had left by mutual consent as he looks to secure regular first team football elsewhere.

A statement on the official Morton website said: "He had found it difficult to secure a first team place this season due to injury, and he is keen to be playing on a regular basis.

"Sean joined Morton on loan from Celtic in September 2010 before signing a year long contract in July 2011.

"We would take this opportunity to wish Sean every success for the future, and would thank him for his contribution to the club during his time at Cappielow."
