A MASS clear-out of players has taken place at Morton following the end of a disappointing season which saw the side finish eighth in the league.
The club confirmed today that Colin Stewart, Grant Evans, Ross Forsyth, Marc Smyth, Andy Jackson, Darren McGeouch, Matt McGinlay and Iain Flannigan would not have their deals renewed, joining Stuart McCaffrey and Paul Di Giacomo after they revealed their departures in the Telegraph last week.
It is also understood that midfielder David O'Brien could go, with Livingston reportedly interested in securing his services, while fans' favourite Fouad Bachirou also looks set for pastures new.
Meanwhile 'Ton manager Allan Moore has started the squad rebuilding process by moving to snap up Hamilton defender Mark McLaughlin.
Terms have been agreed and the experienced Accies stalwart will join his local club in the summer.
The Telegraph understands that Peter MacDonald, Archie Campbell and Thomas O'Ware have also been offered deals to stay on at Cappielow, while the futures of Peter Weatherson, Derek Young and Andy Graham have yet to be officially confirmed.
