The midfielder is expected to train at Parklea tomorrow before putting pen to paper on a deal that sources have indicated will tie him to the Ton for two and a half years.

As first reported in Telegraph Sport last Tuesday, the Cappielow club contacted Tidser to gauge his interest in a homecoming following his release by Rotherham United.

The 25-year-old had options in England as well as at Premiership level in Scotland but is understood to have shunned those offers in favour of a Ton return.

All parties remained tight-lipped as the practicalities of the move were worked out over the last week, with the details thrashed out during negotiations yesterday afternoon.
