TWO of Morton’s early-season Ladbrokes Championship clashes have been selected for live television coverage by BBC Alba and BT Sport, it has been revealed.

The first Renfrewshire derby of the campaign will be shown live by Gaelic language station BBC Alba at 7.45pm on Friday 21 August in a match originally scheduled to be played at Cappielow on Saturday 22 August.

Ton were set to host Glasgow giants Rangers on Saturday 26 September, but the fixture will now be screened by BT Sport on Sunday 27, with a 12.30pm kick off.

The subscription channel this afternoon tweeted details of the Scottish league matches chosen for coverage between August and October via their official SPFL account.

One Tweet read: “On @BTSport, Sep: Fri 11 ICT v Hearts; Sun 27 Morton v Rangers. #BTSport.” The meeting with Rangers will be the Ton’s first time shown live on BT, while the derby represents their first TV coverage since the relatively recent 2-0 win over Stranraer at Stair Park back in April.
