FRUSTRATION GAME: Scott Nugent is desperate to get back playing.

RAVENSCRAIG looks set to stage a match for just the second time this year tomorrow, when Port Glasgow host the visit of Glasgow Perthshire.

With the only game played at the stadium so far in 2010 being Greenock's 1-0 win over Yoker last month, it has been three months since the Port last played there.

On that occasion, Scott Nugent was sent off during the 5-3 win against Thorniewood, so with a constant string of postponements since then, it has taken the striker an amazingly long time to serve his ban.

He said: ''It has been absolute murder, to be honest. I went to our cup game against Clydebank, but it was difficult to just watch on from the sidelines, so I am delighted the ban is now over and done with.''

Since that day, the Port have taken four points from two tricky away fixtures at Thorniewood and Dunipace, and were only knocked out of the Scottish Cup by a stoppage time penalty at Clydebank.

So Nugent knows his return to the starting 11 is far from automatic, and he may have to be content with a place on the bench tomorrow.

The Port may feel they have a score to settle on Saturday, following the controversy when they travelled to Possil to face Perthshire in November.

Manager Craig Brown felt hard done to by a number of refereeing decisions during the 2-1 defeat, the most contentious being the ordering off of Kevin Struthers.

But rather than exacting revenge tomorrow, it is more the need for vital league points which will be the main motivating factor.

Brown said: ''It is certainly a massive game, with Perthshire being six points below us in the league table but having three games in hand.

After our recent run of away fixtures, it will be good to be back at Ravenscraig, but we must take advantage of being at home.''

Kick-off is at 2pm.
