A FANTASTIC finish boosted Greenock golf ace Chris Doak at the Turkish Airlines Open yesterday.
He ended his first round by notching three birdies over the final four holes at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal course in Antalya.
The impressive run included a fine two on the par three 16th. Doak’s 69 left him three under for the tournament, tied for 21st place and sitting six shots off the leader, Miguel Angel Jimenez.
The Spaniard carded a sizzling 63 and holds a one-stroke lead from England’s Ian Poulter going in to day two.
