STRIKER Kudus Oyenuga believes Morton’s impressive Championship form this season is down to boss Jim Duffy and his management team.

Ton sit fourth in the table at the moment, level on points with third-placed Falkirk with a game in hand — and just two points behind Dundee United in second.

Oyenuga reckons his gaffer’s hard work on the training pitch with his team has benefited the squad, who are reaping the rewards with an impressive campaign and a Betfred Cup semi-final run to boot.

He told the Tele: “In the Championship we don’t have the same winter break like the Premiership. So a free week is good.

“But we’re still working hard. We’ve been training most days this week and I’ve had an under-20s game.

“You know the gaffer, he’s very hard working and we as players are a reflection of the gaffer.

“The league table is a reflection of the gaffer as well. Reading the history of the club, he’s done brilliantly getting them promoted in his first year, finishing fifth last year and we’re doing well this season.

“That’s down to the mentality of the gaffer and his man management skills.”
