MORTON will have just two rest days between their play-off matches after the SPFL confirmed the dates.

They also revealed kick-off times and live broadcast information for the promotion play-offs.

In order to avoid a clash of fixtures in Dundee on Saturday 13 May, the Premiership play-off quarter-final ties will be played as follows:

Leg 1 Tuesday 9 May, 7.45pm Morton v Ladbrokes Championship 3
Leg 2 Friday 12 May, 7.45pm Ladbrokes Championship 3 v Morton

The schedule will apply regardless of whether Dundee United finish in second or third position.

Fans have reacted angrily on social media to the decision, labelling the decision that could see them have to trek to Dundee on a Friday night as 'madness'.

In the event that Dundee United does finish in third place and subsequently prevails over Morton in the quarter-final, they would be scheduled to meet the runners-up in the first leg of the play-off semi-final at Tannadice on Tuesday 16 May at 7.45pm.

In order to avoid a clash of fixtures in the city of Dundee on Tuesday 16 May, the Ladbrokes Premiership round 37 fixture between Dundee and Ross County will be postponed until Wednesday 17 May at 7.45pm.
