MAGNIFICENT Morton thrashed bitter rivals St Mirren 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in as convincing a derby win as you’re likely to see this season.
Michael Tidser slotted home two penalty kicks to add to Bob McHugh and Andy Murdoch strikes, cancelling out Cammy Smith’s wonderful strike just before half-time.
Saints defender Jack Baird was shown a straight red card for a foul on McHugh in the build up to Ton’s second goal, but the home side were looking strong and comfortable regardless, with 11 vs. 11 on the field of play.
