MICHAEL Doyle says the manner in which Saturday’s winning goal for Livingston was conceded is the main source of disappointment within the Morton camp.

Ton were attacking the visitors’ goal from a corner kick before a hopeful clearance from Nikolay Todorov was chased down and stabbed into Derek Gaston’s net by striker Danny Mullen.

Doyle admits it was frustrating that the goal originally came from an attacking position for his own team.

He told the Tele: “If you look over the full 90 minutes, I don’t think Gats had a lot to do. I don’t remember him pulling off a ridiculous save or anything like that.

“But it’s quite frustrating to lose a goal from your own corner. That hurts a lot.

“We’re still very disappointed because I think in games like Saturday you’ve really just got to see it out.

“We weren’t playing the best, but we knew what Livi were going to do and I think that’s one of the most frustrating things.

“The boys know that we can do a lot better and we’ll need to. The home form was something we built on last year but that’s out the window now.

“You’ve got to forget about this result, move on and don’t dwell on it.”
