MICHAEL Doyle says it was important his side cut out the mistakes against Falkirk at the weekend after conceding a sloppy goal to Dunfermline last Tuesday.
Ton picked up a well-earned point against the Pars last week in a 1-1 draw at East End Park but were left feeling that they could have won if not for a mix-up in the defence.
But the defender was pleased with how his side reacted in their 3-0 win over Falkirk on Saturday and he reckons they’ll be in even better shape this term if they can cut out the errors completely.
He told the Tele: “A lot of goals we’ve conceded this season have been through errors and that’s been our story so far.
“Some teams get away with mistakes and maybe last year we got away with a few and didn’t get punished for a couple.
“But this year it’s a tougher league and we have been punished.
“We have to cut out the mistakes. The best players in the world make them, it’s about how you bounce back from it.
"After Tuesday night and the goal we conceded a clean sheet was great for us on Saturday and we reacted really well.”
