MICHAEL Tidser says whoever comes in to replace manager Jim Duffy will have a busy summer recruiting players for the squad.

The midfielder is one of four players to be signed up for next season’s campaign, alongside Robert Thomson, Bob McHugh and Jack Iredale.

But the former Rotherham United player, who has made over 200 appearances for the Ton in his two spells at the club, insists whoever does get the manager’s job will love their time at Cappielow.

Tidser told the Tele: “Whoever does take over has a lot of players out of contract, and whoever does take it will have a tough job sorting everything out.

“But it’s a good football club. I’ve been here a long time and I know how football works.

“It’s a good job and I’m sure they’d like to hit the ground running and see where they can take the club.

“It’s going to be a big turnover, I’ve never really been in a situation where the manager has left.

“I’m sure whoever will come in will have their own ideas on how to move the club forward, and that’s not for me to speak about, but as players we just have to be professional and get ourselves ready for pre-season.”

Meanwhile, Morton’s youth development pathway chief Sean Crighton has signed for League One side Airdrie.

The 28-year-old defender spent this season with part-time Championship side Brechin City.
