MORTON are still hoping to go off to Austria for a trip starting on 29 June.
Manager David Irons said: 'We still don"t have official confirmation, but we have to get it sorted out in the next day or two.'
Pres-season training begins next Monday and Morton are hoping to get a week"s work in before going to Austria.
Meanwhile there is no news of any further comings and goings in the playing squad for the new term.
'I don"t envisage much happening at the moment,' said Irons. 'We still have to assess some players who have had long-term injuries [David MacGregor, Ryan Harding and goalkeeper Colin Stewart].
'David has had his contract extended until August to see how he shapes up while Ryan has another year on his contract.'
Colin Stewart has been told he can find another club, but Irons said: 'There"s not been any interest. He"s got another year but if he can get back to full fitness he"ll give Kevin [Cuthbert] competition.'
On the subject of the striker the manager said he wanted to bring in to bolster the squad, he commented: 'We"ve got four strikers on the books - Brian Wake, Peter Weatherson, Iain Russell and Brian Graham - but I would like to add a different type of player there. But, things are tight.'
The manager also wants to have a word with veteran James Grady when he returns to training. His contract runs out in July.
