MORTON boss Davie Irons is angry at his side"s start to the season, which means they play only three home games out of the first eight league fixtures.
He said: 'I"ve looked at all the other clubs" games and we are the only team to suffer in this way.
'In August and September, the first two months of the season, we are at home only three times.
'That is not fair, and I would say that whether it is Morton or any other club.
'Some clubs have four home games out of the first seven.
'It"s not as if we have a situation where there are two Dundee clubs in the same division, or something like that.
'It also affects the club"s cash flow. The chairman is not happy about it and is going to write to the League.
'When you think we have two away cup ties as well, it is a problem.
'There are the fans to consider too, having to fork out good money for all these away trips. It is not a level playing field.'
Meanwhile the Morton manager still does not know whether or not the club will be going to Austria as part of their pre-season preparation.
He said: 'I can"t give you a definitive answer to that. It"s out of my hands.
'It"s gone along longer than I"d hoped. I think there are still some loose ends to tie up.'
On the injury front things are looking up for Morton, who return to pre-season training on Monday.
Ryan Harding and David MacGregor are coming along well and the manager said: 'The physio is happy with their progress. We have had a set-back with Dom [Dominic Shimmin]. He has had a relapse with a hamstring problem.
'We just have to hope it is not as bad as he thinks it is. It"s better than last year when we had three hernia problems.'
