DUNDALK manager Sean Connor was yesterday interviewed by Morton chairman Douglas Rae for the vacant managerial post at Cappielow.
But the Morton owner was quick to state that no decision has yet been made upon an appointment. He said: "He [Connor] is in the mix with the others.
"All I would say is that he seems a decent candidate.
"We'll be going over all those who have been interviewed later in the week before making any announcement." Belfast-born Connor, 42, won the Irish First Division title with Sligo Rovers in 2005. They then finished fifth in the Irish Premier Division and reached the semi-final of the Irish Cup.
The following year Connor joined Bohemians.
One of his first pre-season games in charge of Bohemians included a draw against Aberdeen.
His contract was ended in 2007 and he joined Dundalk in December of the following year.
Connor also spent time coaching in America and in non-league English football and had a spell as press officer with Birmingham City.
He joins those known to have been interviewed, including Stirling manager Allan Moore and current caretaker bosses James Grady and Allan McManus.
