The goalkeeper arrived at Cappielow in September as a replacement for veteran shot-stopper Alan Combe, who left the club to take up a player-coaching role at SPL side Hearts.
Hutton, 27, originally signed a short-term deal to tie him to the Ton until the beginning of this month after he was listed as a trialist in a 3-0 win over Dumbarton back on 1 September last year.
To date, the former Hamilton and Queen of the South custodian has featured in one top-team match, replacing an injured Derek Gaston in the 76th minute of a cup tie at Albion Rovers.
However, his impressive displays for David Hopkin's table-topping reserve side, for whom he has kept four clean sheets in 11 appearances, ensured he earned an extension.
Ton assistant Mark McNally said: "Hutts has signed until the end of the season. We were keen to keep him as competition for Derek Gaston and got the deal done and dusted after the match on Wednesday."
