ALLAN Moore has rubbished speculation linking him with a move for amateur striker Ross McNeil - but has confirmed he has invited David Crawford in for pre-season training.
A national newspaper claimed that the Ton boss was interested in Rutherglen Glencairn 21s frontman McNeil and 21-year-old Albion Rovers midfielder Crawford.
But Moore told the Tele: "I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I don't know who Ross McNeil is. I'm not competing with anybody to sign him.
"I did go to watch a Glencairn match the other day, but that was because my mate's nephew plays with Knightswood. Someone must've seen me there, put two and two together and got five.
"I have invited David Crawford in for pre-season training. I spoke to Todd Lumsden, who was his manager at Albion Rovers, and he says he's worth having a look at.
"He's a right winger, which is a position we've had problems with in the last couple of years, and I thought he did well against us in the Scottish Cup last season.
"The boy's been offered a couple of part-time deals so he's going to come back to me. But we've just invited him in for pre-season, there's no contract offer been made."
