MORTON’S Cappielow Park is set to host two Scotland youth international fixtures in September, the SFA have confirmed.
The national team’s Under-19s squad will welcome the Czech Republic to Greenock on Tuesday 2 September for a Vauxhall challenge match.
Next up in Inverclyde will be The Netherlands, who face Scotland’s Under-16s group in another friendly on Sunday 14 September.
Admission for both fixtures has been set at £5 for adults and free for children under 16, with every four children required to be accompanied by a paying adult.
The Sinclair Street ground has proven popular with the SFA over recent years, having been used as a training base in preparation for some important full national team qualifiers.
In March of this year, it was selected as a venue in the elite round qualifying for the UEFA Under-17s Euro Championship in Malta.
And there saw scenes of celebration when the Scots sealed their place at the finals tournament with a stunning 3-1 victory over Belgium.
Cappielow was also chosen to stage matches involving Scotland, Denmark and Iceland in the same competition two years earlier, as well as an under-19s double header against Malta in August 2010.
