JIM Duffy is poised to seal the signing of former Evian TG striker Hermann Kabesele on a contract until January, the Tele can exclusively reveal.
Kabesele, 22, was the second unnamed French trialist to link up with Morton in recent weeks and featured in closed-doors games against Celtic and a touring select from England.
Although born in Dreux, northern France, the 6ft 2in hitman is of Congolese descent and has represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at Under-21 level.
Kabesele — who was most recently contracted to French top flight outfit Evian, with whom he spent three seasons — made four appearances for the African nation at the 2013 edition of the prestigious Toulon Tournament.
The Tele understands that Ton boss Duffy is close to securing his signature and that he could be available for selection against Berwick Rangers barring any issues with international clearance.
