LEE Kilday reckons Fouad Bachirou will prove a ‘massive loss’ to Morton after completing a move to Sweden on Friday night.
Defender Kilday, pictured, had the opportunity to line up alongside Bachirou just once since arriving at Cappielow, in last month’s pre-season friendly loss to Rotherham United.
However, he is aware of the Comoros internationalist’s quality having coming up against him as a Hamilton player — and admits he will be missed in the Ton midfield.
He told the Tele: “I knew Fred before I came to Morton from playing against him.
“I think he will be a massive loss, to be honest. He is a great player.
“He didn’t say much at training, but he led by example and I think we’ll miss him in the middle of the park.
“I don’t know if he’d have made a difference on Saturday but he’d maybe have given the boys a bit more confidence being there.
“But he’s away now, so we wish him all the best at his new club and look to the future.”
