JIM Duffy says he is happy to indulge his Morton players’ quirks and superstitions if they think it will help them perform.
Despite starting Saturday’s match against Airdrie, defender Thomas O’Ware insisted on wearing a different shirt because he felt the No4 jersey was far too big for him.
And Ton boss Duffy joked that he would allow his squad to play in whatever gear they wanted as long as they win matches.
He said: “Why did we have a No19 on the shirts?
"Because Thomas didn’t like the No4 jersey. It was too big — and a bit baggy and hanging off him — and he didn’t feel comfortable.
“That’s what footballers are like. They have all their wee quirks. But as long as they go and play they can wear a pink tutu for all I care. As long as they can play I don’t mind.”
