I SHALL be reading each night’s Telegraph with interest this week as I’m quite sure it will report on the robbery that took place at Cappielow on Saturday.
In the dock at the sheriff court will be 11 footballers to answer the charge of taking three points away from its rightful owners without deserving them.
All kidding aside, fair play to Morton as they somehow managed to get out of jail with the late show and it might just turn out to be the most important result of the season so far!
Saturday showed us once again why football is so important to millions of people around the world, watching us dafties jumping around in ecstasy at the end of the game must have been a sight to behold.
I make no attempt to disguise the fact that when our winning goal went in I personally totally lost it, and like many other Morton fans, celebrated as if we had just won the league title.
Well done to Jim and the boys for somehow turning a potential dismal weekend into a joyous one. Please continue winning for six more weeks to ensure we all have a wonderful summer looking forward to Championship football next season.
