In a recent podcast interview for the Tell Him He’s Pele website, Irons, who was Ton boss between February 2008 and September 2009, claimed that the Golden Casket supremo was controlling and difficult to work for.
However, club owner Mr Rae declined to comment on the subject and instead questioned why the 53-year-old had waited several years to air his opinions.
He told the Tele: “I don’t wish to comment because it’s nonsense for someone to come back and raise personal points or things concerning the club after seven years.” Meanwhile, the Tele was unable to contact former Morton player Derek Collins for a response to Irons’ comments on his time as assistant manager.
