THOMAS Orr was just two weeks old when Derek Lilley made his record £500,000 move from Morton to Leeds United.
But the teenage Ton striker revealed he knows all about the man he was likened to by ex-development squad boss David Hopkin — because he is the uncle of one of his friends.
It was actually his pal who made Orr, who has scored four goals in five pre-season friendlies this summer, aware of the compliment that he admits left him stunned.
He told the Tele: “Derek Lilley is my pal’s uncle and it was him who told me that he saw the article in the paper mentioning me and his uncle.
“I know he [Lilley] was down at Leeds and I was quite shocked to be told about the comparison but I don’t feel any pressure.
“You just need to take it all in your stride and then kind of forget about it.”
