Midfielder Tilley has been training with the Ton and played the final 15 minutes of last Friday’s 3-0 friendly win against Greenock Juniors.

The 19-year-old player featured in the Australian National Premier League for Canberra FC before signing for A-League outfit Sydney, but is now aiming to win a move to Scotland.

Ton are also taking a look at midfielder Brad Spencer, a Scot who has returned from the USA, and former Hamilton and Aberdeen winger Jai Quitongo.

Under-20s boss Andy Millen confirmed: “The boys have been in training with us. Alex Tilley arrived in the middle of last week, Brad Spencer arrived at the beginning of last week and Jai Quitongo has been in for a few weeks.” l Meanwhile, Morton have advised that season tickets will be ready for collection after tomorrow’s League Cup tie with Elgin City.

They will be available from 4.50pm at the kit and boot recycling point within the main stand — this will include season books which are due to be collected from Smiths.

Thereafter, books due to be picked up from Cappielow will not be available on a match day but can be collected during office hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 2pm or Tuesday 10am to 4pm. After Saturday, books due to be picked up from Smiths will be passed to the West Blackhall Street shop for collection from midday on Monday.

Supporters who have requested that tickets be posted out to them should expect their season book to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
