HUNDREDS of wrestling fans crammed into Greenock Town Hall on Saturday as Premier British Wrestling made a return to the town.

In the biggest show to date, two titles were up for grabs, with another five bouts on the card, as some of the biggest names in the sport battled it out.

International star Mark Haskins became the sixth man to win the King of Cruisers trophy in an exciting six-man elimination match.

Lionheart then made his PBW return to the delight of the fans, picking up a well-earned victory over former TNA star Doug Williams in a thrilling match.

Just Uz then scrapped it out with the Coffey Bothers for the tag team title, and after some back and forth action Just Uz picked up the pin to become the new champions.

The main event of the night saw Marty Scurll push Liam Thomson to his absolute limit in a stunning fight which stole the show.

With the Greenock crowd anticipating a new champion, an intervention by Carmel made the difference, allowing Thomson to pin Scurll for the three count and cling onto his title in the process.

After the event, PBW organiser Ross Watson told the Telegraph: “We honestly can’t thank the talent and fans enough, everyone in the town hall on Saturday night made Maximum Impact 2013 such an amazing night.

“It was my proudest moment as a promoter and we can’t wait for our return on 2 May 2014.” Full results: Jack Jester and James Scott beat Wolfgang and JD Bravo, Kay Lee Ray beat Red Lightning, Rampage Brown beat ‘Unstoppable’ Andy Wild, Mark Haskins won the King of Cruisers title, beating El Ligero, Joey Hayes, Kenny Williams, Noam Dar and CJ Banks, Lionheart beat Doug Williams, Just Uz beat Davey Blaze and Tommy Marxs, the Coffey Brothers and Project Ego to become new PBW tag team champions and Liam Thomson with Carmel beat Marty Scurll to retain his PBW championship.
