A TOUGH weekend saw Greenock’s Chris Doak finish down the field in his latest European Tour event in Denmark.
Rounds of 72 and 70 ensured he made the cut in the Aalborg tournament, but he was not able to make the impression he would have wanted over the weekend.
Saturday’s 74 was followed by a 75 yesterday, meaning a final scorecard of seven over and a tie for 57th place.
Doak’s countryman Marc Warren had plenty to celebrate though — he won the tournament, finishing on nine under par, two strokes clear of his nearest rival. The Scot picked up a cheque for a cool quarter of a million euros in the process.
